Most of us are in some way or another involved with information products, be they books, e-books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, teleconferences or live conferences. Therefore, the results of this survey should be of extreme self-interest.
If you could find out what products, in which niches, people are most likely to buy, how much they will pay for them and how they find out about them, this should give you some enormous clues as to what affiliate websites to build, what products to develop and, even, where best to advertise.
Since most of us too are regular buyers of these products (and not just in the internet marketing area either), we are also ideal participants whose opinions are needed. Indeed, just reading the questions and HONESTLY looking at your own answers, should give you some immediate hints.
They say that the survey will have a BARE MINIMUM of 207,150 survey takers, which, if so, should make the results pretty meaningful, useful and worth knowing alone.
Since most people are not that forward thinking, there are also a bunch of incentives offered just for taking the survey. That should get more participants, which is good, but I don’t see them having any negative effect in slewing the results in any way. Some of them are definitely worth having too.

I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the results!
PS: Reading between the lines, one can often take a stab at guessing the real motive for why a survey is being conducted. Yes, the results are of interest in themselves and can be used for a variety of things, by different people. Usually, the survey creator has one such use of his own in mind.
Therefore, I found the following question interesting:
6. Would you use a new search engine if you could automatically get money savings coupons on your key words?
Hummm … could it be they are thinking of developing one that does? If so, I want to be listed on it. Don’t you?
