ProBlogger, Darren Rowse, begins this post with, “One of the most frightening things that can happen to a blogger making their living from blogging is when the traffic to their blogs dries up for one reason or another.” Actually, learning more about those many and varied reasons is comforting in itself and his first two sage pieces of advice, “Don’t Panic” and “Wait” are ones that we don’t always (if ever) naturally adopt in today’s society. They are effective, but we do need reminding of them!

Naturally, Darren has written this from the perspective of blogs, however, all the same tips apply to “ordinary websites” too and, are just as useful if you have a new site that has never been listed / ranked and has yet to see it’s first trickle of visitors.
