Advice we’ve all read, possibly many times, “And don’t forget the thank-you page. When a prospect signs up for a webinar — or a white paper or newsletter for that matter — be sure to include more hotlinks or offers on the ‘Thank you’ page they see right after submitting their registration.”
As MarketingSherpa’s Anne Holland goes on to explain, this is the perfect time to offer something, because prospects are in the right mood to learn more about you.
But, I suppose the question for most of us is just how much worth the effort is it to extract the digit and add something to those pages? Anne had data from 2001 that suggested 40% would go for what was offered on thank you pages and confirmed that the percentage was still 39% last week.
Considering how much effort you have to put in to get people to your site in the first place and, then sign up for the first offer, with figures like these, it’s actually crazy not to include something else for them on thank you pages.
39% of Viewers Accept Offers on ‘Thank You’ Pages
