You can alter the IP address to look up other ones.
If you've ever wanted to locate the IP address of a persistent spammer or, perhaps the IP address of someone doing suspicious things at your website, you may have looked them up via the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN). If the IP turned out to be in Europe, you have to go to RIPE or in the east, the Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC), or failing that, the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Address Registry (LACNIC).
Knowing where to look is bad enough. Remembering all the URLs is another matter. Not knowing where that IP address was geographically, you probably had to try all four in a process of elimination and, then you have to type or paste in the number each time until you hit the jackpot.
Save yourself some time. Look the IP address up at GeoBytes first, because they present links below the geographical data to all four of the above registries, already appended with the IP number you looked up, so doing the right registry lookup will only require one extra click.
