AdesBlog pointed to a rating widget (oh yes, more widgety goodness) that he quite liked, but was disappointed to find out that you couldn’t integrate it to your [blog] template.
(That one was available through a site called MajikWidget, which charge credits for creating widgets and, they may well have other things there that are of interest to you.)
But the rating widget, I agree is a nice one - people like that you care what they think - so may I point you to an alternative that certainly does work in individual blog posts (as well as allowing your site visitors to rate articles, products, services and anything else.)
Pro.Rate™ (which comes from programmer, Will Bontrager), produces code snippets that work with TypePad, Blogger, WordPress and other blogging services, as well as for use on “normal” web pages. Having tested those with Blogger, they do go in the template (one single copy & paste) and produce an independent rating for each post.
There’s a free version for use on one domain and paid versions if you need more domains, want to remove the “powered by…” link, change colors, modify text, remove submit button, replace dots with your own images.
I don’t know how the other one functioned, however Pro.Rate™ also offers the advantage that the rating does not cause the page to reload, so visitors can give feedback, without leaving the spot and getting lost.
