Balcony barbecue for apartments

Tuesday, March 6, 2007 | Permalink |

Don’t go rushing out to buy one, as they are not yet for sale, but, as Slashfood suggest, you might want to get a metal flower box and give the construction a go yourself. That is, if you are allowed to barbeque in your apartment block, which likely you aren’t for fire safety reasons.

It is an ideal size for cooking for one, but what do you think of the idea? My first reaction was that you’d have to be mighty careful to ensure you don’t accidentally feed passing pedestrians below!

Now I suppose you could put a small metal rim or guard round it, or set the grill a bit lower inside the trough, but wouldn’t it be just as simple to use a single-sized bbq in the corner of the balcony?
