You know I’m only posting this so I can use that photo of a gorgeous shiny robot, don’t you?
No, as Bloggers Blog say, “In the future human bloggers may face a new threat - robots that blog.”
Threat? What flippin’ threat? This, I think, would be most internet marketers’ dream, wouldn’t it? Something automated that earns them money while they sleep.
Some might say that it’s already here, with scrapers and such that go grab (other people’s) content and repost it to millions of splogs.
Anyway, they point to a serious news report at the BBC, which made me smile, as it says that “An ethical code to prevent humans abusing robots, and vice versa, is being drawn up by South Korea.” (What hope is there when we can’t even manage to avoid abusing other humans yet?)
The good news - or bad, depending on how soon you want to retire and have your robot take over your business - is that “Even if all these robot predictions come true we humans should have at least another decade or two to blog freely without the threat of robotic competition.”
