Now here’s a toy tool that’s capable of saving serious money on your business operating costs, Gizmo Project 3.0 (Windows), which is a free phone for your computer.
As yet, I haven’t tried it, but I’m crossing my fingers. I’d previously tried Google Talk (you can also call Google Talk, Windows Live and Yahoo Messenger users, as well as Gizmo users with this) and, I tried Skype, but my computer and pathetic donkey and cart driven internet connection wasn’t having any of it.
Now they’ve upgraded our donkey to a DSL version (still not the fastest beast on four legs, but a considerable improvement for a very rural area), it’s time to have another go at this technology, I think.
Amongst the major attractions for me (as, I am sure, it will be for other international marketers), is the ability to get a phone number in an English speaking country (where the majority of my sites’ visitors come from), such as the UK or the US, at a very reasonable cost.
