Jackie commented that some cats befriend rats. I’ve seen some cute and charming photos around (I’ll try to find some) where ratty is curled with catty. I can’t imagine that happening in my house, mind you: the four marauding tigers will hunt anything that moves. They’re wicked to small rabbits. My dog is only safe from them, because she’s so big! 
In the meantime, this photo of Mudgeon chilling on the rats’ cage - I mean he is really laying back and chillin’ - made me smile.
