Firefox extension converts tabs to links

Tuesday, March 20, 2007 | Permalink |

It pays to ask for things, because you might find out that they exist! Matt Cutts recently said that he had “weekend-full-tab-itis” and wanted a Firefox extension that would convert all of the tabs he had open by the end of the week into links, so that he could blog about them.

This is a situation I often find myself in. I read stuff in Bloglines and open the pages of things that I want to read, a good portion of which I will also want to talk about. Then I need to open other pages for other things and there’s definitely a “no room at the inn” situation occurring where I have to close tabs again to be able to find anything.

At this point, I’m faced with either deciding I can’t be bothered and the item wasn’t all that important, or, manually copying the URLs to a list I keep elsewhere. I do it, but it’s tedious and time wasting.

This would definitely make things a lot quicker and easier for doing my research and reading and getting through the daily workload.
