With a small JavaScript snippet that you place in the head of your webbage, GeoDetector provides geographic information to compare the quality and effectiveness of your marketing campaigns or to block fraudulent traffic. There are various “strengths” of protection, from minimum filter settings that screens out only a group of extremely high fraud countries to more restrictive ones, depending on your needs.
The service can also be used to restrict certain pages to English speaking countries only - beware of that, since there are a LOT of people, like me who do not live in an English speaking country, but English is our native language. If you do use it, keep it on a gateway page and ensure that people can still choose their language and visit the rest of your site.
Restricting certain pages to US and Canada or US only might be handy if you have offers to promote that are only available in those countries or only want to get poll results from those citizens. Similarly, there’s a UK only and a western Europe traffic only version. Free service too!
