Spray turns steel roofs into solar panels

Saturday, May 26, 2007 | Permalink |

Interesting that I’ve not been able to find a mainstream press report on this development, in English, however ArchipielagoNoticias, web daily in the Canary Islands, report that British engineers have developed a spray that can turn the steel roofs of warehouses, supermarkets and factories, into solar panels. The innovation, says the report, could provide 5% of the energy consumed in the UK, within 5 years and could be commercialized from 2012.

This government-funded project appears to be the same, mentioned in The Engineer, back in January.
