It’s late June, it’s summer and this is the Canary Islands, 100 miles or so from the coast of Africa. The wind is rattling stuff, the skies are miserable grey, it’s been raining and the weather word says that it’s 17 degrees centigrade. Where I am it’s nowhere near that and I’m cold. Meanwhile, Bournemouth has 20 degrees. Bloody hell, it might be warmer on a Birmingham beach today!
