A recent email from Michael Dela Cruz regarding the Adlandpro Community, began, “Remember when a cellular phone was only used for … well … a phone call?” (That seems terribly topical again with last week’s iPhone release, or an iBrick in the case of maybe 38% of buyers.)
And while I’m thinking about the iPhone that shows you something: things can’t be so bad (the economy, how much money people have really), if 1.5 million can afford to shell out $600 for a phone. I’ve no idea, but I’ll bet they can be made for $1.50 in China. Probably next week, they will be!
So, if you think you can’t make any money online, because customers are broke, that just ain’t true. They’ve got the money, plenty of it, for things that they WANT. You just haven’t pushed their hot buttons yet.
Anyway Michael’s statement made me laugh, because the last time I had to renew my mobile phone, that’s exactly what I asked for when the assistant asked me what I wanted: a phone that made phone calls. And, please could I have one with big buttons, so I could see the darn things.
Whilst I don’t have a need for all the other features that phones have now, I know from my own friends that I’m rare, especially when it comes to text messages and I can understand how these are useful for many situations.
Therefore, likely you will find this new feature, which they added after noticing that some of the Social Networking giants such as Facebook and Myspace were using wireless text messaging to give their communities a whole new channel for their members to connect, very handy.
Now, if you’ve got a a text-enabled phone, you can send short messages to your SMS Network amongst Adlandpro Community members through their profile as well as receive short text messages on your cell phone.
