Reuters report that, “A Chinese woman is suing her former employer after falling victim to the company policy of firing staff who contradict their boss three times.” The only difference I can see here between China and the west is that, at least in China, the rules may suck, but they are a matter of policy: something you have some hope of understanding and following.
In the west, companies would pretend that they don’t do this, but if an employee is “difficult” or there is a “clash of personalities”, then it will happen nevertheless, with some other excuse being made up for the sacking.
You gotta wonder, at the end of the day, which situation is worse.
