For those who require a translation:
Rajoy: (Who, it has to be said, I would welcome in power about as enthusiastically as Osama bin Laden would order bacon or a pork chop dinner), says “Spain will have a government as God decrees.”
Osama bin Laden: “That’s exactly what I said.”
In reference to the results of the 2004 elections, after the Madrid bombings.
Oh and that’s not a spelling mistake of Diosh (Dios), but a perfect example of the accent, described so accurately by El Guiri as being “like listening to Thomas the tank engine drinking a milkshake through a straw.”

Thanks for the Link!
I have been told by a Galician(the girlfriend) that Rajoy’s funny way of speaking is nothing to do with his Galician heritage, he just talks funny!
But what about his reptilian tongue? It’s always popping out to taste the air
Dunno what it is, but I just find him absolutely creepy and scary.
What worries me even more is that his second surname is Brey, which sounds like his mother could be some sort of British.
No, Once agin I’m told it’s an old Galician name, but it does sound English or Irish. As this post hinted at however, they’ve not got a great pedigree when it comes to leaders
Or even Scottish was my thought and, he sounds like a Scotsman speaking Spanish to me. Maybe the name is something to do with the Celtic origins in both regions?
Quite they seem to be able to create some folk with rather extreme views in that area. Does your girlfriend have any theories on why that might be?
