The BBC report that, “The surviving members of legendary rock group Led Zeppelin are to reform for a star-studded tribute concert in London.” Good god, at £125 a ticket in some sort of ballot! Am I glad that I already saw them live, twice. Once was at Knebworth in 1979 (remind me to tell you about the toilets there one day - the definite low spot of festival “amenities”) and once, at Earls Court (I think), which must have been before that. Sheesh, it seems like a whole lifetime ago: I hope they’re in better shape than I am!
Led Zeppelin confirm reunion gig
UPDATE: Guardian says Led Zeppelin crash internet as a claimed 20 million fans attempt to register for the ticket lottery and, Londonist, in a post entitled, Been A Long Time…, say that the group “deflowered more virgins than the East European porn industry“, amongst other things. Yeah, I bet they wished they’d done even half of the things reported. ![]()
