Meowlingual: Japanese Cat Translation Device

Thursday, September 13, 2007 | Permalink |

Ever wondered what your cat is trying to tell you? A Japanese company hopes to solve this conundrum with a new toy that seeks to interpret your pet’s meows.”, reports the BBC.

(We have to wonder if it’s not just a toy invented to relieve cat owners of around $75 just before Christmas, but we know that’s just cynical! :-)

Oh yeah, there is a catch: it’s being rolled out in Japan in November, so I guess English speakers will just have to brush up their Japanese by then (interpreting the cat is probably easier for most people) or wait until the English version is released in the US, hopefully next August.
