Maniacal Monday

Monday, February 4, 2008 | Permalink |

Well, my Monday was spent doing chores like a trip to the bank in Buenavista del Norte and then doing my month’s shopping at “The Caves“, which was enough for me to be hecha polvo (literally made into powder; knackered, had it, exhausted) sufficiently to need a siesta, but it was Santa Cruz de La Palma that took the prize for the most maniacal of customs involving powder yesterday.

Five thousand kilos of it: talcum powder for the fiesta of Los Indianos.
