At last, the Spanish - well, the cataláns pointed the way - have worked out that Eurovision is a complete joke. They seemed to have previously been under the mistaken impression that it was a song contest, can you imagine? 
A catalán comic, going under the name of Rodolfo Chikilicuatre and, seemingly, sharing a hairdresser with the late King of Rock and Roll, will represent Spain at Eurovision in Belgrade with this spoof reggaeton nonsense called El Chiki Chiki.
It comes under the category of so bleeding awful it’s actually brilliant!

I’ve been meaning to come across and say Hello. Nice blog you have here. Watching the Eurovision is always amusing, there are so many weird, wonderful and downright silly acts on there! This chap reminded me of a Karaoke singer! Ha ha!

We Spaniards don’t give a damn about the ESC. In fact we don’t give a damn about almost anything purporting to be serious. That summarizes Spain’s public life nowadays. Perhaps that’s not even bad. Look at our president, at our opposition leaders, at our nationalist parties… they are all a joke! Look at the way we deal with families, economy, terrorism, religion, immigration… We take nothing seriously… so we vote for Chiki Chiki!
El chiki chiki is NOT from Argentina, the guy is CATALA (CATALAN) however he makes a foreigner accent to sound “funnier”.
