The French (Carrelet), the Dutch (Schol), the Danish (Rødspætte) and the Swedish (Rödspätta) all translate to plaice, but we still don’t really know what kind of fishy it is, whether plaice or cod (bacalao in Spanish), or, Kampelaa, which in Finnish translates as flounder (plaice is Punakampela). The German, Scholle isn’t a fish at all according to Google’s translation tools, but they’re wrong: it is another "vote" for plaice, but the whole thing made me smile and the cats liked it so much that I simply had to go get another packet.
This time I took it’s photo to preserve the "lost in translation" forever.
